About Senator Pavlov
Michigan’s Blue Water Area has always been Phil Pavlov’s home. It’s where he raised his family and owned/operated his family’s successful small business, Dexter Equipment Company.
In 2001, voters elected Pavlov to the St. Clair County Board of Commissioners, where he chaired the Environmental and Public Affairs Committee. He then completed three terms in the Michigan House of Representatives, with significant leadership roles and legislative accomplishments. He was elected State Senator in 2010 and again in 2014.
As State Senator, Pavlov has helped Michigan take incredible steps to kick-start our economy, leading the fight for new jobs, good schools and fiscal common sense for Thumb residents.
Senator Pavlov’s current committee assignments include Education (Chair), Families, Seniors, and Human Services (Vice Chair), Natural Resources (Vice Chair), and Transportation Committee. He also serves on the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee for K-12, School Aid, Education.

He will share some of his highs and lows in business and talk about how those experiences prepared him to advocate for entrepreneurs in his government roles.
